1. What you can report
- fraud, fake listings, impersonation, phishing or payment pressure;
- threats, harassment, hate, stalking or unsafe offline conduct;
- child sexual abuse material, non-consensual intimate imagery or sexually explicit impersonation;
- copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights violations;
- misleading verification, rent, charges, availability or property information;
- account compromise, data-security incidents or unauthorised disclosure;
- difficulty accessing, correcting or deleting personal data; and
- a RavDorm moderation, suspension or listing decision you want reviewed.
2. How to submit a useful report
Use the Report control beside relevant content where available, or email the Grievance Officer. Include only what is necessary:
- your name and reliable contact method;
- the listing, profile, message, review or account URL/identifier;
- a clear explanation of the concern and requested outcome;
- dates, screenshots, receipts or other relevant evidence; and
- whether anyone faces an immediate safety risk.
Do not email passwords, one-time codes, complete payment credentials or an unredacted identity document. RavDorm may request proportionate verification before acting on an account or personal-data request.
3. Response targets
RavDorm's operational target is to acknowledge a grievance within 24 hours and resolve an ordinary complaint within 7 days. Requests involving legal deadlines, intimate imagery, child safety, serious threats, court orders or lawful government directions receive the shorter treatment required by applicable law.
Acknowledgement does not mean the complaint is accepted. Complex matters may require information from both sides or competent authorities. We will provide status information and a reasoned outcome where doing so is lawful and safe.
4. Investigation and possible action
Authorised reviewers may inspect relevant account, listing, message, attachment, report and audit information. We may request clarification, temporarily restrict visibility, preserve evidence, remove content, warn or suspend a user, restore content on review or refer a matter to an authority.
We consider context, evidence, severity, immediate risk, repeat conduct and the rights of affected people. We do not promise a particular result merely because a report is submitted.
5. Appeals and statutory escalation
To request internal review, reply with the ticket or decision identifier, explain the claimed error and provide new relevant evidence. A different authorised reviewer should assess the appeal where practical.
This process does not prevent you from approaching police, a court, consumer commission, regulator, the Grievance Appellate Committee, the Data Protection Board when its jurisdiction applies, or another competent authority. Use the official government channel applicable to your complaint.
6. Privacy and preservation
We limit report access to people who need it for investigation, safety, legal compliance or support. We may disclose necessary information to the reported user for a fair response, but will avoid revealing a reporter's identity where not necessary or legally required.
Removed content, associated records and registration information may be preserved for at least the period required by Indian law. See the Privacy Policy for retention and rights information.
